Our Founding Story
Established in 2004
HFTConnect (HFTC) was founded in 2004 to fill a gap in the alternative finance industry — specifically, to create a dedicated space where technology professionals working in hedge funds, private equity, asset management, and related sectors could connect, collaborate, and share knowledge.
While the alternative investment space has many events and networks for portfolio managers, investors, and business executives, there was historically no central forum for the technologists — the people driving innovation in trading systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, AI, and infrastructure.
